Is this Hands-on Video of iPhone 6?

Brief translation of above Video:
One is an iPhone 5s and the other is, I’m not sure what it is gonna be called, probably the iPhone 6. You guys might be curious if this phone that I am holding might be a knock off or fake, but it does have an Touch ID, I (you) don’t think so? Let’s try and see that again.
My personal feel of the phone is that it is faster than the 5s. When I got the phone, I personally feel that it is very light, much lighter than expected when seeing the (leak) images online. It might be seen that the iPhone 6 is gonna be heavier, but it is not. Thus, I feel the iPhone 6 is much a lot lighter than the iPhone 5s. That is the first thought about the phone.
(80% accuracy)
The second thought is about the screen size. One might think that it is gonna be too big and needs more than one hand to operate, and Apple has done it with only one hand usage. (Not sure: By making the screen size taller to achieve it). Still feels comfortable using the iPhone just like the iPhone 5s.
(50% accuracy)
Thirdly is the ‘radians’ (according to Google Translate) or ‘Bezel’ on the sides, somewhat like the Samsung’s I9300 (or SIII). Which makes it feels comfortably good with one hand. [Talks about technology of the screen with him mentioning “2.5”.
On the back, it still retains the design of the iPhone 5 backing of the 3 parts. And still on the back, the iPhone 5s camera is within the body of the phone, but the one on the iPhone 6’s camera is protruding outwards. Some may feel that it is ugly, but I personally feel that if the camera quality is better, it is something good too (or I don’t mind either).
Since there isn’t much apps or software running, the performance feels about the same. But if according to Apple, the internal specs would certainly be an increase. For that, we would only know after the event.
Let’s open the camera app, this is the screen, (takes picture), taking pictures feels very fast, very fast, can’t imagine that. *Goes on opening the Photos app* Photo still feels quite small.
And that is all.
*Shows the different apps on the phone*
Unsure of the megapixel of the camera due to the lack of information.
The health app may connect to the iWatch.
And that is pretty much it.

The new Moto G comes with a slightly bigger 5-inch 720p (HD) display and is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, along with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. Yes, that’s exactly the same CPU/GPU combination we saw on the first-gen Moto G. The real improvement has come with the rear camera, which is now an 8 MP shooter with Auto Focus. There’s also a 2MP front facing camera.
The Moto G supports the latest WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy connectivity options. There’s no LTE support yet, and no NFC support either. It also sports dual speakers in the front and dual microphones for noise cancellation. There’s microSD support to allow expansion of storage. We expect a dual-SIM variant to be announced for select markets like India and Brazil.
There’s a 2070mAh battery present on the new Moto G, which Motorola claims to be good enough to last through a day on single charge. The design and looks are very similar to the original Moto G, and comes with interchangeable back covers sold as accessories. The phone will be running the near stock android 4.4.4 out of the box with few moto specific apps like Moto Assist and others.

Some Interesting and Crazy Numbers That Explains Why Facebook Acquired WhatsApp

WhatsApp Co-Founders Jan Koum and Brian Acton |
450 million active users
WhatsApp has more than 450 million active users, and if you consider the registered user base, that would be much higher. In comparison, Facebook has around 945 million active users. Considering WhatsApp is less than 5 years old, that’s a staggering number.
55 employees
WhatsApp supposedly has just 55 employees working for them, with 32 of them being the engineers. Now that translates to over 14 million active users per engineer/developer. Read that again – 14,000,000 active users per developer.
$35 per current user
The $16 billion deal values WhatsApp users at $35 each. This is pretty close to what Google had paid to YouTube. In comparison, Rakuten recently bought Viber (with around 300 million active users) for about $3 per user.
$3 billion for Employees
The employees of company getting acquired are hired with some bonus at best, but Facebook has agreed to give $3Bn in RSUs (Restricted Stock Units) which equates to approximately $54 million for each employee.
50 billion messages
Approximately 50 billion messages are exchanged on WhatsApp every day.
500 million images
WhatsApp processes 500,000,000 images every day, which is more than SnapChat’s 400 million and Facebook’s 350 million figures.
70% – That’s the percentage of the active user base on WhatsApp who are active on a given day.
1 million new users per day
According to WhatsApp, the company is adding over 1,000,000 new users every day. That’s a huge growth rate for any service.
0 ads
This possibly defines what WhatsApp is all about. The company has been committed to keep the popular messaging platform ad-free. Though the creators promised that it remains autonomous even after Facebook acquisition, we should wait and what Facebook does after an year or so.
According to Facebook, WhatsApp’s volume is approaching the entire global telecom SMS volume, which is close to 7 trillion messages per year. That’s 7,000,000,000,000 messages!
$2 billion
Break-up fee to be given by Facebook to WhatsApp should the deal not go through. $1bn cash and $1bn shares.
100,000,000
500,000,000 – That’s the number of times WhatsApp is installed on Android alone. We don’t know the actual number of installs yet.
$60 million
That’s how much Sequoia supposedly invested in WhatsApp over three rounds of financing. Important thing to note here is that Sequoia is the sole venture capital firm who currently holds shares in WhatsApp. They stand to make approximately $3.4 billion out of this deal.

New Features in Android 4.4 KitKat

Google announced it's new android version Android 4.4 KitKat along with new Nexus 5. Already many features are leaked heavily in the web before the release. The new Android 4.4 KitKat comes with some new features.
Android 4.4 KitKat Supports low-end smartphones without any doubt, the biggest feature in Android 4.4 KitKat. A new API developed in KitKat will allow even the earliest Android devices that have at least 512MB of memory available.
Android 4.4 KitKat comes with new dialer, improving contacts search. You can enter the name of the local Starbucks shop and the dialer app will fetch its number automatically for you from the same database that powers Google Maps. Local data is incorporated and the phone will also provide caller ID information for incoming calls. A new auto-populating feature has appeared, adding to your favorites menu the most frequent dialed numbers.
A number of new features have made their way to the lock and home screen, such as the album art now being displayed full screen behind the lockscreen when music is playing, a new launcher which is Nexus-specific initially. A long-press anywhere on the homescreen will zoom out to let you re-arrange the apps.
Android 4.4 KitKat comes with multiple smaller improvement that taken as a whole contribute to seriously optimizing memory and improving the touchscreen responsiveness. This is indeed a much needed feature as recent reports have shown that the touchscreens used on iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s have had much better response times.
Google wants “all your messages in a single place” and that’s why it has updated the Hangouts app to replace the default messaging app and include all of your SMS and MMS messages together in the same app, as well as other conversations and video calls. It also lets you share your location with the Places button and send animated GIFs to your contacts. The true rival to iMessage has finally landed.
Currently limited to the Nexus 5 only, the HDR+ photography automatically snaps a rapid burst of photos and lets you choose the best possible single shot. You can do it even during the night, as the pictures are going to have a sharp quality and much less noise than before. I imagine this being highly useful at birthday parties.
Android 4.4 KitKat developers will have the option to add printing to individual apps. At the momeny, any HP wireless printer works with the system, but more manufacturers are expected to join this. But any other printer that supports Google Cloud Print will be able to be used for the improved wireless printing straight from within the apps in Android KitKat.
Android 4.4 KitKat brings the search function be default on every homescreen. It comes with hotwording, so by saying “Okay, Google” just like you’d don on Google Glass, the search functionality will immediately start. The Google Now service thus receive a much needed update. Voice recognition has been improved and added new features such as tapping a word and selecting from a list of alternatives to select from. Natural language and more clarifying questions have also been added.
Google wants to make it easier for developers to create third-party TV controller apps and has included in Android 4.4 KitKat new APIs to help devs with that. This feature will work on KitKat device that come with an infrared blaster. Soon, your Android smartphone or tablet will become a TV remote without having to rely on other third-party apps.
The new feature called Host Card Emulation (HCE) in Android 4.4 KitKat is the one that actually lets any device with a NFC chip inside to pair nfc android kitkatup with NFC apps for payment. This is a much expected and very simple feature that is definitely going to give a serious boost to NFC contactless paments. A new Reader Mode has also been included in Android 4.4 KitKat, letting apps to be used as readers for HCE cards.
Ability to work with QuickOffice and to save files to cloud apps such as Google Drive has been added in Android 4.4 KitKat. You also get quick access to recently used files from different cloud storage services. This is also great as developers will be able to create a client app that manages files or documents and integrate it with the storage access framework.
Emoji characters are part of the Hangouts app update that we’ve talked above but for messaging lovers, this is an important feature that deserve to be talked about separately. Emoji support is finally built-in to your software keyboard with Android 4.4 KitKat. The colorful Japanese characters are now available and I’m positive they’re going to spice up your conversations.
Android 4.4 KitKat brings multiple enhancements in the audio segment, like the device-specific Audio Tunneling to DSP that will decrease the amount of power used, which means it will save your battery life. It thus adds 50 percent more playback time (which meansup to 60 hours on Nexus 5). New music visualizers have been included as well as a compressor to increase loudness on speech that is also helping in voice recognition.

Apple's New iPhone 5c: Specifications

The iPhone 5C is the first one since the 3GS to be clad in plastic. The plastic Apple uses on phones has never felt anything other than premium and they’ve made no mistake with the 5C. The unibody shell is made of hard- coated, shiny polycarbonate, but it’s almost like enamel to touch and keeps the body of the phone slim. It feels far more premium and durable than the sweaty plastic equivalent found on the Samsung Galaxy range of smartphones.
See also iPhone 5s Specifications..
iPhone 5c Specifications:
The iPhone 5C uses exactly the same A6 SoC (system on chip) dual-core processor running at 1.3GHz and a triple core PowerVR SGX 543MP3 powering the graphics that the iPhone 5 does. It may not sound like much when you compare it to the quad and octa-cores of the top Android phones, but Apple does things differently and the dual-core processor ran iOS 7 without a hitch while we were testing it. Apps opened quickly and games run smoothly. The iPhone 5C comes with most of the standard connectivity option such as Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, AirPlay, Wi-Fi etc. but no NFC. Apple has still not embraced the technology that allows devices to easily pair with each other or read ‘tags’.

In a world where innovation is considered at the most importance, Apple’s traditionally aluminum design has been preserved in majority and somewhat tweaked, in a beautiful way. For instance, the newest phone is now made out of a high-grade aluminum alloy with chamfered edges.
The home button now comes with a small stainless-steel detection ring around it, which acts as a border for the fingerprint scanner and also, as an activator. Built using a sapphire material, this new-age home button vouches to keep all scratches away while allowing Apple to retrieve important details about the person hold it.
When assessing performance we truly want to note that Apple make a breakthrough by introducing the very first 64-bit powered chip in a smartphone. This latest addition into the mobile world will surely show the advantages seen in the desktop environment, where 64-bit applications run more smoothly. Speaking of apps, we also want to bring into foreground that the upcoming iOS 7 platform is optimized for this architecture and that all most Apple apps are compatible

Unlocking phones without Network carrier permission illegal in US

Phone unlocking without Network carrier permission is now illegal in the United States. A 90-day transition period, permitting the practice after an exemption added to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act was reversed in October. This DMCA act has now run out, something that now forces customers to either ask and potentially pay carriers for unlocking services, or to buy phones that have been unlocked beforehand.
According to TechCrunch, ''The exemption was put in place after a campaign by the Electronic Frontier Foundation in 2010''. Three exemptions were applied for, including making jailbreaking legal and the renewal of an existing exemption that permitted phone unlocking. In October, the US Copyright Office and the Library of Congress reviewed and then overturned the unlocking exemption, citing the relative ease for consumers to either get an unlocked handset or to unlock a phone through a carrier. A 90-day transition period was then put in place, which has since ran out.
Penalties for unlocking, as outlined by CTIA, range from the carrier's "actual damages and any additional profits of the violator", to a court-awarded statutory damages of between $200 and $2500 per individual unlock, on the Civil Penalties side. Criminal penalties would see violators fined at most $500,000 or imprisoned for up to five years, or both, for a first offence, with the values doubled for subsequent offences.
In light of the unlocking exemption's closure, a We The People petition asking for the Librarian of Congress to rescind the decision or to make unlocking permanently legal, has gathered over 25,000 signatures.
